I do believe I have found my dream designer. As I was surfing the net I came across this designer. She used to have a booth at the Portobello Market in London!!! Hey I can dream can't I!!!! I knew I was onto something with all this antique lace I have been collecting!

Portobello West Xmas Show

So, I'm bringing out all my favorites for the Portobello West show this Sunday Dec. 16th from 12 noon to 6pm http://www.portobellowest.com/ .

I have so many amazing jackets - Indie Rocker, 1950's Pea Coats, 70's Retro Queen and more! I also have lace collar scarves, hats and so many delicious purses that I know you will want!!!

Sassy Vintage Headquarters!

So.. I thought I'd show you my office for Sassy Vintage. Many a wonderful nights of wine and dress up have gone down here! Mostly just hard work at the computer though. I really love what I do. I have decided to keep my really old antique gowns from the 20's as it is my favorite era (the hippy boho 70's being my second!) My assistant Louis is also pictured. He loves to lay in all the vintage clothes before they are priced (yes, I have a lint brush). EnjoyMiss Mel xoox

1920's Lace Collars

So, I had this realy old antique lace for awhile, and I got some inspiration. They are lace collars mostly from the 1920's & 30's. I have added carved glass, bone & plastic buttons on them and they have a hook so you can adjust it whatever way you would like to wear it. I wore just a ragged piece of lace the other night to an opening and got sooo many compliments.

So I can wear this most amazing hat. I almost forgot I had this in my collection! It's a 1950's sun hat by Mr. John Debutante. It just reminds me of a tropical ocean and sunshine. Would go best with huge black sunglasses - and oh yes, a cocktail. MMMMMM I love Summer.

I found this amazing purse yesterday. Shiny Hot Lipstick Red from the 50's. It has a clasp and 2 zippered compartments and is mint!. I am in love with this purse, however it will be for sale at this Sunday's Portobello West www.portobellowest.com if you can't live without it!
